Supporting Learning Disabled creatives to get their voices heard
In Spring 2022 I was delighted to be asked to help promote the Bubble Club’s burgeoning podcast. Having previously worked with Hugo and the team I knew the impact of their creative workshops and inclusive events.
As an arts hub for neurodivergent creatives Bubble Club aims to provide safe spaces for people to express themselves. The podcast was a relatively new way for the Bub Hub regulars to develop their skills, while also increasing representation for Learning Disabled people.
I offered advice on how to structure the release of forthcoming episodes, as well as spreading the word through disability arts networks.
I was especially pleased to work on episodes including the one below features Access All Areas’ associate artist Adam Smith. In this lively discussion host Rufaro and Adam discuss their inspirational figures – from access workers to stars of the silver screen.
